Relief Carved Sign
This sign was a commission job for Megan. She
wanted to get her dad something unique for Christmas and asked if I could
carve a sign with a buck deer and her dad's name. She wanted
to be able to hang it with a chain. She gave me a photo of the deer she
liked and I went to work on the sign.
The sign is carved from one piece of basswood with no add-on's.
The sign was carved with hand tools and is of original design.
After the carving was completed, the sign was stained with some
color added.
After staining, the sign was given a glossy finish and a gold
plated chain added for hanging. The carving is signed by the artist on the back.
We hope that Megan's dad is enjoying the sign!
